SPCO on Tour: Three days in Berkeley
This week, we’re heading west to the Bay Area for a three-day residency at Cal Performances at the University of California, Berkeley. We’ll be joined by conductor Benjamin Shwartz and one of our newest Artistic Partners, clarinetist Martin Fröst. In addition, each concert will feature a work by composer and former SPCO Creative Chair John Adams, who will be on stage for a pre-concert Artist Talk before Saturday’s performance.
One of the highlights of the weekend is sure to be Fröst’s performance of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto, which held audiences spellbound at our subscription concerts a few months ago. Here’s a full-length recording of that performance in our free Listening Library:
